General FAQs

What if I don't know what to book?
You are not alone, many guests feel unsure at first. That is exactly why I created the New Guest Consultation Form. It is a simple way for me to see what your hair currently looks like and the goal you are hoping to achieve. Just from looking at your form, I can usually guide you straight to the right service. And if you still have questions, you are always welcome to reach out to me directly. My goal is to keep things easy, clear, and stress free so you feel confident moving forward.
How Do I Book A Reservation?
The best place to start is the New Guest page, which walks you through the process step by step. First, take a look at the service menu, then fill out the New Guest Consultation Form. Once your form is submitted, I will be notified right away. Then, Request a time that works for you. If you don't see one available, I will personally reach out to you to go over our schedules together and find a time that works best.
How far in advance should I book?
I typically book out about 4–6 weeks in advance, especially for color and extension services. Occasionally a spot will pop up (life happens!), but in general, the sooner you reach out, the better chance we have of getting your ideal time. If you're thinking about booking, go ahead and fill out my digital consultation form and I’ll walk you through next steps!
Blonding/Lived-In-Color FAQ's

What is K18 and why do you include it in every color service?
K18 is a professional treatment applied before and during your color to protect and repair your hair. It works on a molecular level to reconnect broken bonds inside the hair, which keeps it strong, smooth, and healthy while we lighten or color. Most stylists offer K18 as an add-on for an extra cost, but I include it in every service because your healthy hair is my number one priority.
What’s the difference between balayage and lived in color?
I get this question all the time. Both looks can feel similar, but lived in color is all about giving you more time between reservations. It is created to flow with your natural hair pattern and your lifestyle so it feels effortless. The grow out is softer, the blend melts beautifully, and it still looks amazing months later. If you want a full breakdown of how it works and who it is best for, head over to my Lived In Color page for more details.
How often will I need to come in for maintenance?
Most people do a partial balayage every three to six months. A full balayage is usually once or twice a year, with smaller refreshes like a face frame highlight in between. I also recommend trims every eight to twelve weeks and a toner refresh to keep your color seamless and healthy. At your consultation I will go over a personalized maintenance plan with you.
What if I want just highlights? Do you do that?
I specialize in lived in color, but I have also been doing traditional highlights for more than 17 years. Many of my guests still love the look of classic highlights, and that is always an option. We will talk through your goals during the consultation and decide together if highlights, lived in color, or a mix of both is the best fit for you.
What’s the difference between a partial and a full blonding service?
A partial focuses on refreshing the brightness around your face and through the top. A full is for guests who want maximum brightness or a total transformation.
What is a Gloss and Go Reservation?
A refresh reservation is a shorter visit meant to keep your color looking its best between bigger services. It usually includes a toner to bring your blonde or lived in color back to life, a trim to keep your ends healthy, and styling. It is the perfect way to extend the life of your color and maintain that seamless, fresh look without committing to a full blonding service.

Extensions FAQs

Am I a good candidate for extensions?
Extensions are not just for dramatic makeovers. They can add a little extra thickness, a touch of length, or a boost of confidence. Whether your hair feels too fine, grows slowly, or you simply want more styling options, we can find a method that works for you. I will walk you through everything at your consultation to ensure it is the right fit.
What types of extensions do you do?
I offer hand tied extensions for seamless fullness, K Tip extensions for customizable volume, and tape extensions for a quick, natural look. At your consultation, we will decide which method is the best fit for your hair and lifestyle.
How long do extensions last?
With proper care, extension hair usually lasts six to twelve months. You will come in every four to six weeks for maintenance so I can move up your extensions as your natural hair grows and keep everything looking seamless.
How often do I need to come in?
Most guests return every four to six weeks for maintenance. This is when I move up your extensions as your natural hair grows and make sure everything stays comfortable, healthy, and blended. Anything after the six week mark will require a full installation.
What can I expect at my first visit?
Your first visit is an in-person consultation. During this time, I will look at your natural hair, talk through your goals, and explain the different extension methods. I will color match your hair, go over pricing and maintenance, and answer any questions you have. Once we decide on a plan, I will order your hair and schedule your first installation reservation so we can bring your dream look to life.
How much do extensions cost?
The cost of extensions varies from person to person depending on your hair goals, the method we choose, and how much hair is needed. For more details and a breakdown of pricing, you can visit my Hair Extensions page.
Will extensions damage my hair?
When applied and maintained correctly, hand tied extensions will not damage your natural hair. I always apply them safely and teach you how to care for them at home.
How do I begin?
The first step is to fill out my New Extension Guest Consultation Form. Once I receive it, we will schedule an in-person consultation to look at your natural hair, color match, talk through your goals, and decide which extension method is best for you. At that visit, I will also go over pricing, maintenance, and answer all of your questions. After that, we order your hair and set up your installation reservation so you are one step closer to your new look.
Can I book a move up if I'm a new guest already wearing extensions?
Yes, as long as your extensions have been maintained properly. At your consultation, I will check the type of hair and method you currently have to make sure everything is safe and compatible with the services I offer. From there, we can schedule your move up reservation or talk about other options if needed.
Can I style my extensions like my own hair?
Yes. You can wash, blow dry, curl, and straighten your extensions just like your natural hair. I will walk you through best practices and product recommendations to keep them looking beautiful.
Are extensions high maintenance?
Extensions do require a commitment, but with the right care they can feel seamless in your daily routine. They are about making your hair look and feel natural and giving you more confidence. The nice thing about extensions is they hold a curl and style much longer, that could last a few days with a touch up.
